The impact on the shops as Prince gives away his free CD is massive and they are naturally outraged. The deal between Prince and the Mail on Sunday remains undisclosed however in there defense the paper argues that by giving the CD out free it will increase the sales of the song writer. These kind of promotions have been on going over the years and has concerned the Entertainment Retailers Association who says this will impact new artists trying to come through, it devalues music as for these individuals they don’t have the support from record companies who are giving away free music CD’s.

Lil Wayne sentenced to Prison.

Wayne pleads guilty yesterday to attempted weapons possession charges, and is expected to be sentenced to a year in prison.

This comes after he originally pleaded not guilty in which if he was found to be guilty would have been looking at a 3½ year jail sentence so I’m sure the thought of this changed his mind in which he pleaded guilty.

Statements have been released from his record label The Cash Money family and have stated they will continue to support the artist and friend in his current court case.

Wayne has worked with his record label since he was a teenager, and has seen him grow into one of the world’s most successful hip-hop artists, with a work ethic that is second to none.

Robbie Williams has sensationally revealed details of his “drugs hell”, admitting that he once even tried heroin now this may be a shock to some of you to other it would not have surprised you. The singer returns after a three-year break, and revealed that he started taking Class A drugs when he was a teenager. He said he has had addiction problems with everything from LSD and speed to cocaine and ecstasy.

Williams also stated that in the last five years he has suffered from the “American addiction” meaning an addiction to prescription drugs such as Adderall and Vicodin, although he’s now clean. He added that at one point he feared he would end up dying from an overdose of the drugs, like other high-profile stars.
