A memorabilia company has erected an 11ft replica of the Beatles first contract. The giant contract was put up on Carnaby Street in Liverpool to give fans of the Beatles the chance to sign the contract as though they to were part of the band!! Im not entirely sure what the point of all this actually is, it seems to be part of a competition the memorabilia company has entered in to to win the original contract which is worth half a million pounds.
In the 70’s band raigned supreme, indipendant labels thrived as people appreciated the music genius of the people of that time, The Who, Maddness, Pink Floyd… Lots of massive big names. In the 80’s and 90’s these people were pushed out of the industy by the big wigs who saw a more efficient way of making money.
