Broadway is the ultimate goal of any musical, opening on broadway is a massive honnor and most of the time leads to long runs, global tours and unresounding success. So when ‘9 To 5: The Musical’ had its opening night it was probably expected that it was there for the long run. Unfortunately after only six months 9 to 5 The Musical is set to close.
The musical score which Dolly wrote herself contained the song 9 to 5 as well as 20 other songs that had all been written specifically for the show. Undoubtedly in the future they may have been aimed at another revenue of income if it was released as an album. The final curtain will go down on September 6th.
