The 67 year old former Beatles star has spoken about the rumour of a ’stand in’ lookalike, recruited by former band members John Lennon, Ringo Starr and George Harrison to replace him once he apparently died in 1966. Sir Paul has insisted it was a ridiculous rumour though funny at first. Sir Paul has claimed people seem to stare at him more trying to make sure that it is in fact the Beatles band member himself and not an imposter. It was believed in a cover for one of their albums, the stand in was portrayed rather than Sir Paul himself.
